6DEF.COM Video Driver (or 6def_vd
) is a video plug-in that allows you to simultaneously select one or more video
sources (the various pictures are split over several small screens) and to
direct it out towards software of your choice.
Exemples:
- In your instant messaging program (MSN Messenger, Skype, Yahoo… )
instead of choosing your webcam as video source you can pick 6def_vd. Then by
modifying the parameters, you can choose what you would like to broadcast.
- You can also use it with video creating software (such as Windows Movie
Maker).
You can show:
- A video sequence of your computer screen, in a fixed zone or which follows
the movements of your cursor, with or without zoom. If you want to show
something to someone online, you can give him a live demonstration.
- The video sequences of one or more cameras installed and connected to your
computer simultaneously or any other source from a video acquisition board
driver : Live TV, ...
- Media files on your computer: video (asf, wmv, avi, mpg, divx…) or
still images (jpg, gif, bmp …). You could for example pretend to be
using your webcam but in fact use a video from another file.
On the final picture broadcasted, you can add text and change its colour and
position on screen.
